After visiting the Grampiens I had a quiet sunday. I had to do some webdesigning and that evening we went spotlighting together with George, Sue and Linda. It was quite an experience to drive through the dark with a big spotlight, searching for wildlife. Unfortunately we didn’t find any kangaroo’s. It was a nice experience anyway. Monday we helped Sue out feeding the sheep and opening the gates for her. Tuesday was my day of departure. I decided to catch the bus of 15:00, that way I didn’t have to rush that morning. Marnie, the George’s daughter offered I could stay at her place for the few days I was going back to Melbourne.
The next day it turned out to be Anzac day.. A national holiday to remember the people who died during World War 1 and 2. It turned out to be a very big event, with veterans marching through the streets. It was quite a nice experience. Me and Marnie went to a pub where a couple of her friends were drinking beers. They were getting ready for an AFL match. I met up with them in the pub. Unfortunately I didn’t have a ticket for the match, but I was able to watch the match on the big screen in the pub. After drinking beers all afternoon, I decided to head back to the apartment of Marnie. When I got back there I decided to lay down for a bit, but I fell asleep right away. The next day I woke up in the morning and I decided I had to buy me bus-ticket to get back to Sydney. I decided to get back to Sydney before the weekend so I bought me a bus-ticket to travel overnight. It didn’t only save me another night of accommodation, but that way I can sleep through the trip, which takes about 12 hours. I’m not planning to stay too long in Sydney though. As I’ve seen the city already and it’s time for me to explore places I have not been yet. I do have some people to meet in Sydney, so I’ll prolly stay there for about a week tops.
