Back in Sydney!

The last day in Melbourne I met up once more with the guy I had been playing poker with before. He came to the city to say goodbye. We had a drink and we went to eat in a Japanese restaurant on Federation Square. He insisted to pay for the meal, which was really generous as well. I also met his brother and his friend, who we by accident met in the city. After dinner I had to catch my bus back to Sydney. At 20:00 the bus left. Unfortunate for me the seat I was in was not able to go backwards, so I had to sit up straight up the rest of the night. I didn’t have much sleep that night, so once I arrived in Sydney at 8:00 in the morning, I was more dead than alive.
I booked myself into the YHA, since WakeUp was fully booked for the next few days. After checking in I had some sleep. Later that day I met up with a guy from South Carolina, US. He had just arrived. That night I went to meet up with Rachel and Castidy, two american girls I met 2,5 months ago back in Sydney. We went out to some bars around town and it was nice to see them again.
The next day I woke up quite late. I went to buy me some cereal and milk. I met up with Marty, another guy I met 2,5 months ago in Sydney. We went for a drink in Sidebar, and to my surprise, close to all the people I met 2,5 months ago were all still here or just got back here again. It was so much fun and it felt like I had never left. I even got introduced to one of their new friends, which happened to be my travelbuddy in New Zealand! Small world..
Tuesday I went for a wander around town together with Roddy, the guy from South Carolina. We went to the botanical gardens. We met up with an australian girl and an american guy while we were just walking along on the street.
In the afternoon I met up with Adam, a guy I have known for years through the internet. It was great fun to meet up with him in real life now. We went out to the italian part of Sydney, since he’s half italian. We had some genuine italian food. Insalata Caprese with Penne Arrabiata. It even tasted really italian. Later on we went to have an italian icecream. It’s funny how italian the neighbourhood is in there. Italian signs everywhere and every restaurant has an italian name. When i got back from dinner I was really tired so I didn’t go out. I did go and say hello to Mark, as he got back from Melbourne that afternoon.
Wednesday I didn’t feel really good.. I felt a little bit light-headed and tired. I had just been hanging around in the tv-lounge of the hostel. Later on I met up with Roddy and we decided to go to the IMAX Theatre to see the movie “300”. I had never been to an IMAX Theatre, and seeing that movie on such a massive screen was amazing. It was a great movie and I had a great time. Later on I met up with Mark, as he was having sushi in chinatown. Quite close from the theatre anyway, so we went to eat some sushi together with him. After the weekend I am planning to do my surf-camp trip up to Byron Bay, which should be great fun as well..

Stay tuned for new updates soon!
