The first few days

The first few days have been excellent. I´ve already met so many new people from all over the world, it´s incredible. The day I arrived I went to have dinner with three brasilians I met in my room.  Obviously I went for a big Argentine steak. Later on we went for a walk along the river which was nice too. The day after I went with them to a city just outside of Buenos Aires, called Tigre.

We took the train from Buenos Aires to Tigre. After about 40 minutes we arrived at our destination. It seemed like a really nice place, with palm trees and a nice atmosphere. After lunch we went on to a boattrip through the river of Tigre. It was quite a nice trip, although there wasn´t too much to see or do. After an hour we got out and walked a bit in the neighbourhood. Afterwards we went back to the boat which brought us back to the Tigre itself. Afterwards we went back to Buenos Aires.

There we went for a walk through the city. We went to a big shopping street and the brasilians bought some souvenirs for their family, as they were going back to Sao Paolo the next day. Later on we went to a restaurant where they were doing all you can eat dinners for only 4 euros. You could eat as much pasta and pizza you liked. I ate 2 pastas and a pizza… which was really good. Later that night I went out to a club downtown Buenos Aires. We were with a big group of people from the hostel. Unfortunately I was really tired and didn´t really enjoy the music either. After a few hours I decided to go back to the hostel together with some of the others.

The day after I had a very relaxed day. I said goodbye to the brasilians, who invited me to come and stay at their house in Sao Paolo if I wanted to come. Then I met up with a guy from England and a guy from Dubai. We went to the rich neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, called Palermo. There we walked around and the guy from Dubai was doing some shopping. When we got back, we layed down for a bit. Later on we went for some dinner. We went to a typical argentine Steak restaurant. I ordered a massive steak which was really good. As it was the last night of the guy from Dubai, we went for a few drinks in a bar a little bit outside of BS. After a drink in the first bar, we took a taxi to a club. After 20 minutes driving, we found out the club was closed. Then we went to another club 30 minutes the other direction, which happened to be closed too. That was quite annoying, thanfully the taxis are not really expensive.. We decided to go another club which did happen to be open. The club was called Sunset, a really really big club. We stayed there until about 6:30 in the morning. Then we grabbed a taxi back to the hostel.

The day after I woke up at around 14.. I went down to the bar area of my hostel, where I met up with an American guy who we shared a taxi back to the hostel with the night before. He asked me to join them to Recoletta, as there happened to be a market there in the weekends. Together with two girls from Sweden and a guy from Israel we went to the market. The market wasn´t really special, but it was fun anyway. Afterwards me and the guy from Israel went to the famous cementary. We walked around a bit and checked out Evita Perron´s grave.

Afterwards I went back to the hostel where I signed up for the BBQ night they were organising. I had already payed for it back in Amsterdam , so I might as well take advantage of it. Tomorrow I booked myself also on a 3 hour bike tour. We´re going to explore the city by bicycle together with a guide, which should be nice too.

That´s it for now.. Soon more adventures!!
